International Day of Family Remittances 2021

Today we recognize the importance of remittances and the heroic efforts of those migrants who work so hard to give their families and communities a better life.

These efforts were shown to be all the more heroic in recent months when, in the midst of a pandemic-caused worldwide economic slowdown that hit those developing countries especially hard, remittances proved to be unexpectedly resilient. This demonstrated the extraordinary resolve of migrant workers to sustain their families against all odds.
The MSBA strives to promote public awareness of the beneficial impact of remittances worldwide and works with its industry partners toward making migration for future generations, more of a choice than a necessity.

It is not too late to register to join the second day of the GFRID Summit 2021 on 17 June. Day 2 will focus on Diaspora investment in times of crisis in the morning, and on Enabling environment in the 2021 remittance market in the afternoon.
