International Day of Remittances 2019

June 16th is International Day of Family Remittances (IDFR). This day represents an invaluable opportunity, not only to recognize the efforts of migrants globally, but also to strengthen the current cross-industry partnerships and create new synergies among sectors to promote the development impact of remittances worldwide. We join together to help reach the ultimate goal of making migration for future generations more of a choice than a necessity.

This day of celebration is important to recognize and to raise global awareness of the fundamental contribution made by migrant workers to the wellbeing of their families and communities back home and to the sustainable development of their countries of origin.
